This option allows the user to define Employees department and their details.
Setup Employee Department: Main Menu > Payroll Setups > Setup Employee Department

1. Department Name:- Department name is the name of different departments in any particular company that run it and the division is needed for the smooth running as every department provides a particular function which is necessary. You can enter the name manually.
2. Department Short Name:- User can provide the short name to the Department name here manually.
3. Hide:- You can decide to Hide the entry or not.

This form is used to define the different departments.These departments are assigned to the employees in the Payroll Information tab of the Setup Employees form.
To save the data entered by the user, user have to press enter button and the cursor should be on next line in the grid. |
To delete the entry, there is Red Cross in the tool bar. Select the Department Name and click on the cross. A delete confirmation dialogue box will come, press Yes to confirm deletion.

1) Order Button: Used to set the order of employees departments according to user. The order is set in twos ways : User Define or Alphabetical order.
a) User Defined Order: User defined Order is the order chosen by the user manually by moving the items up & down.
b) Alphabetical Order: User can choose the order for the items listed below on the basis of alphabets. i.e Item beginning with the alphabet A will be first and so on.

Save Button: Click to Save the changes made by user.
Close Button: Click to exit the window.
